The 1997 Chrysler Town and Country Starting System consists of ignition switch, starter relay, power train control module (PCM) double start override, neutral starting and back up switch with automatic transmission only, wiring harness, battery, starter motor with integral solenoid, positive temperature coefficient (which is the circuit protection for the ignition feed to the starter relay coil. The PTC is located in the Junction Block).
These components form two separate circuits. A high amperage circuit that feeds the starter motor up to 300+ amps, and a control circuit that operates on less than 20 amps. The following schematic diagram shows the interconnection between 1997 Chrysler Town and Country Starting System Component.
